  • This research is done because many student have get difficulty in study mathematics. It can be seen from a test result, where is more high class the average value is more descend. This research purposes is to description the intellectual causes of low student’s achievement in integers, and follow up decide what kind of activities for each student. This research using descriptive qualitative method. This research was held at SDN Kubang Apu for 5th grade student in school year 2014-2015. Data was collected by using instruments test and interviews The subject matter that have already capable by student is by relative frequency in the amount of more than 60% is adding the round number of subject matter by relative frequency in the amount 90,78%, the most mistake that have been done by students is to determine FPB relative frequency about 54,85%, finishing the story matter in daily life that connected by KPK relative frequency amount of 42,23%, the difficulty that is become cause or the source happen of student mistake in doing mathematics matter is 1) mistake to understand fact (using symbol or numeral sign), 2) mistake the concept (dominating concept and pre requirements concept), 3) operation (using an exact process, applying the relevant manner, not be careful in doing the matter, calculation or computation), and 4) principle (understand and connect concept and fact), cognitive aspect as reference, the most of the mistake that have been done by students is C4 to put understanding about ideas in mathematics concept. To overcome difficulty in understanding round number concepts and arithmetic operation, in study that have been done is stil need something to connect by using a visual aid tool.
