  • The study aims to determine the influence of compensation and transformational leadership on employee performance at PDAM Tirta Albantani Kabupaten Serang with Motivasi as intervening variable The method use in this research is descriptive causal . while the analysis method use is t-test and analysis of the path. From the result of hypothesis testing is performed using the t test result are obtained as follows : results of t count for compensation on motivation of 0,354 his smaller than t-table (1,669) than it can be said Ho is accept and Ha rejected it means there is no significant effect of compensation on motivation. Result t count for transformational leadership on motivation of 2,290 greater than t-table (1,669) than it can be said Ho is rejected and Ha accept it means there is significant effect of transformational leadership on motivation. Result t count for compensation on employee performance of -1,407 his smaller than t-table (1,669) than it can be said Ho is accept and Ha rejected it means there is no significant effect of compensation on employee performance. Result t-count for transformational leadership on employee performance of 3,660 greater than t-table (1,669) than it can be said Ha is accept an Ho is rejected it means there significant effect of transformational leadership on employee performance. Result t count for motivation on employee performance of 3,058 greater than t table (1,669) than it can be said Ho rejected and Ha accept it means there is significant effect of motivation on employee performance. Result of path analysis indirect effect of compensation on employee performance with motivation as mediation 0,017952 > -0,151 with a total effect -0,133048 it means motivation can mediate between compensation on employee performance. While result of path analysis indirect effect of transformational leadership on employee performance with motivation as mediation 0,11628 < 0,254 with a total effect 0,37028 it means motivation can’t mediate between transformational leadership on employee performance.
