- Poverty is a problem faced by all countries in the world, especially developing countries, like Indonesia. Poverty is a complex problem influenced by many interrelated factors, including income levels, unemployment, health, education, access to goods and services, location, geography, gender, and environment. Poverty in Banten Province is relatively higher than other provinces in Indonesia, although Banten not included among the ten poorest regions in Indonesia. This study aims to analyze how and how much influence the Human Development Index and Unemployment on Poverty in Banten Province in 2008-2012. The method of analysis in this study using multiple regression analysis with panel data which is a combination of data across space (cross section) and time series (time series) County/City in Banten Province from 2008 to 2012 using software Eviews 8. The results of this study showed that the simultaneous influence of the variable Human Development Index (HDI) and Unemployment variables on Poverty with determinant coefficient was 0.96 (R-square). However, when tested parsila Human Development Index (HDI) effect on poverty and unemployment in Banten Province has no effect on poverty in the Province of Banten.
