- he purpose of this study, to know the effect of gold prices and the exchange rate of rupiah against IHSG as variable Y. This study uses a sample average gold price, exchange rate and stock index monthly. The data used in this study is a time series data for a total observation period amounted to 5 periods. The analysis technique used is the classical assumption test, multiple linear regression, t test and f test. The results of this study indicate that the variable has a positive effect World Gold Price IHSG. While Currencies negative effect on IHSG. In addition it was found that the value of adjusted R square is 93.4%. This means that 93.4% of IHSG predictable movement of the two independent variables. While the remaining 6.6% is explained by other factors outside the model.
