- ANDI PURNOMO. 2015. Blood Parameters and Growth of Catfish(Pangasius sp.) with Fish Offal Silage Feed. Supervised by ACHMADNOERKHAERIN PUTRAandSAIFULLAH. Silage is a productwhich isprocessed by anaerobic fermentation or additionofacid, such as formic acid. Animal or plant can be used as a material of silageproduct. The aimed of the research is to know theblood parametersandgrowthofcatfish (Pangasius sp.)with fish offal silage feed. The experiment used fourtreatment (A,without addition of formic acid;B,4% formic acid; C, 5% formicacid; D,6% formic acid)and three times replications. The results showed that offish offal silage can promoteblood parametersandgrowth. The treatment with theaddition of 5% formic acid in fish offal silage feed showed the best result. Thevalue of erythrocyte 2.54×10 6 ±0.94 cell/mm 3 , hematocrit 28.05±2.15%,haemoglobin 4.3±0.10 g% and leucocyte 10.65×10 5 ±0.53 cell/mm , total feedconsumption473±8.14g, proteint retention 38.01±4.19%,specific growth rate3.31±0.06%andfeed efficieny94.28±1.98%.
