  • Based on the study conducted in SDN Cimuncang Cilik, that results in fourth grade IPS studies is still low, students who scored 65 or more KKM is only 48.71% (19 students) the remaining 51.28% (20 students) under KKM , This is because the learning process is conventional IPS in the form of lectures and assignments, with more teachers explain learning materials and learners only act as pasiv . The research objective of this class action is to determine whether to apply the model VAK (Visual, Auditory, Kinestetica )can increase student learning outcomes in social studies. This classroom action research procedure involves two cycles and each cycle consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. This classroom action research conducted in SDN Cimuncang Cilik semester of academic year 2014/2015 with the subject of class IV, amounting to 39 students, consisting of 21 male students and 18 female students. The results showed that in the first cycle, students who achieve KKM is to obtain a value equal or more than 65 by 22 students (56.4% ), an increase of 7.7% from the data pre-cycle. While in the second cycle, students who achieve KKM is to obtain value equal to or more than 65 as many as 35 students (89.7% ), an increase of 33.3% from the data cycle I. It can be concluded that learning by using the model VAK ( Visual, Auditory, Kinestetica ) can improve learning outcomes IPS.
