  • This study aims to obtain empirical data on the use of the medium of film education in improving student learning activities in the subjects of fourth grade Social Studies SDN ciomas II in Communication Technology and Transport material Modern and Past. This research was conducted in SDN Ciomas II Serang regency of Banten province. As the subject is that the fourth grade students of 16 people. This research is an action research conducted two silus, ie during the month of April-May 2014.Types of data used is primary data sourced from research subjects. Namely the fourth grade students of SDN Ciomas II. Data collection techniques are observation, interview. Documentation and written tests. While the techniques of data analysis is a data presentation and conclusion, the parameters of this study is the result of learning, mastery learning. Data collection tools in the form of the test. Activities of students and teachers in the learning process is collected by observation sheet as supporting data. These results indicate an average increase student learning HSIL in cycle one and two by 73.43%, or 12 people, and at cycle 2 to 16 people, or an average of 90.31%. The mean score of students in the first cycle activities 55.00%, while 92.10% of cycle 2. The mean score of teacher activity first and second cycle was 54.70% and 95.20%. of the results of this study it can be concluded that learning with film media education can improve learning outcomes IPS.
