  • The pavement work that is important in the infrastructure of transport. The pavement construction that using asphalt concrete will continue to grow. The carbide lime is classified that have the properties for building materials and can be used as filler in a mixture of asphalt concrete. This research uses experimental density methods with the marshall testing 2003, aims to determine the performance of a mix of Asphalt Concrete - Wearing Course (AC-WC) added with the carbide lime. The data used in this research taken from object Asphalt Concrete 60 specimens. The results of this research, the performance and the optimum bitumen content Asphalt Concrete - Wearing Course (AC-WC) tends to increase the value indicated by the greater stability, Laston with carbide filler 0% is 1555 kg and optimum bitumen content 5,6%, at Asphalt Concrete with carbide filler 1% increased to 1630 kg and optimum bitumen content 5,65%, and the carbide filler Asphalt Concrete with a 1,5% increase to 1685 kg and optimum bitumen content 5,7%. While the mixture is added filler carbide as much as 2% do not found optimum bitumen content, because the characteristics of the mixture is not in accordance with specifications of SNI 6189-2015. The addition of filler carbide creating value of durability Asphalt Concrete decreases, but decreases value of durability is still entered into the limits. So it can be determined the addition of filler carbide optimum levels of 1,5%, because the mixture is getting the highest stability characteristics and the characteristics of the other, the mixture is still within the limits of the specifications required by SNI 8189-2015.
