  • he purpose of this study is, 1) to determine the effect of wages on self esteem Albantani PDAM Tirta Serang, 2) to determine the effect of wages and self esteem on the performance of employees with self esteem as an intervening variable in PDAM Tirta Serang Albantani. The results showed: 1) There is a positive and significant effect on selft esteem among salaries in PDAM Tirta Serang Albantani, proved the value of t count > t table (6.460 > 1.701), 2) There is positive and significant effect between wages and self esteem the performance of employees with self esteem as an intervening variable in PDAM Tirta Serang Albantani, evidenced by the value of the indirect effect through the variable self esteem as an intervening variable (0.526) > than the value of the variable salary direct influence on employee performance variable (0.349).
