  • This research was motivated by the low activity of learning and learning outcomes of students in the subjects of Social Sciences (IPS). This is evident from the results of theMiddle Deuteronomy Semester (UTS) are lower in social studies lerning outcomes, with an average value of 57.6 obtained by the student. This value is below the minimum completeness criteria (KKM) is equal to 63.3. So students who meet the new KKM approximately 42.55% of the total number of students, so it needs a lot more improvement. This research is motivated by low learning outcomes and student activities. In addition, learning activities are dominated by the teacher so that learning activities are focused to the teacher (Teacher Center) and not to the student. (Student Center) in social studies learning that result in lower learning outcomes. The purpose of this study was to determine the results of the application of the trans sector project learning in social studies lesson on the concept of Economic Activity in improving student learning outcomes and to determine how student learning activities with the application of the trans sector project. This study uses action research conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Data collection techniques in this study using a test and non test. The test is an objective test consists of a multiple choice test. While non test consist of observations and interviews. Based on the research that has been done, there is an increase in student learning outcomes and the activities going on every cycle. In the first cycle of activities students get a percentage of 72.91 %. Then in the second cycle students increased activity of 86.10 %. Besides improving students learning outcomes has increased cycle, starting from the first cycle to get the average value of 64.46 with percentage of 63.82 % after the second cycle of improving students learning outcomes at an average of 78.72 with a minimum completeness criteria (KKM) 63.3. The application of this study stated that the application of the trans sector projects to improve learning outcomes IPS on the concept of economic activity in the fourth grade students of SD Negeri Sukaratu 2.
