  • An endophytic fungi live in the living plants as a host and will not cause any negative effects on it’s host. These fungi potential as plant growth promoters and environmental friendly in this research. Endophytic fungi were isolated from the roots of mangrove in Pulau Dua Santuary Serang Banten. This study aims was to determine the potential of endophytic fungi of mangrove roots (CEM) from Pulau Dua Santuary Serang Banten on growth of soybean (Glycine max). There were 5 isolates of endophytic fungi used in research: CEM 2, CEM 3, CEM 4, CEM 7 and CEM 9. Pathogenicity test performed in vitro using MS medium and in vivo using zeolite. Plant growth parameters were observed height of plants, shoot, root length, plants fresh weight, shoots fresh weight, root fresh weight, dry weight and number of leaves. According to the data of statistic test, it has been showed that the CEM triggering the growth of root length is the one that has potential in growth tigger soybean. Furthermore, the study discussing of CEM isolate in soy root tissue showed that hyphae colonizzation of CEM 9 is only observed in epidermic and cortex tissue. The results of the research presented in the form of practical instructions is very decent to be used as a source of learning for twelfth grade of senior high school in sub concepts growth and development in plants, with an value of 85%.
