- The purpose of this research was to determine the potential aspect of endophytic fungi mangrove roots (CEM) of Pulau Dua Sanctuary Serang Banten on the growth of tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum L.). There were 5 isolates used in research: CEM 2, CEM 3, CEM 4, CEM 7 and CEM 9. The potential aspect of endophytic fungi was conducted by growing tomato on MS medium and zeolite media, for in vitro and in vivo respectively in the presence isolated from of 5% isolates CEM. Plant growth parameters were measured in term height, shoot, root length, total fresh weight, fresh weight of shoot and root, dry weight of plants and number of leaves. Data analysis used one-way ANOVA statistical test and Tukey's as follow up test. Furthermore, light microscopy of cross section showed that CEM colonize the epidermal-cortex layer of inoculated root. The results of pathogenicity test in vitro showed that isolate CEM 9 increase tomato plant growth significantly, followed by isolates CEM 7 and CEM 3, while in vivo culture showed that no CEM isolates were able to increase the growth of tomat. The results of this study applied as a learning media in the form of a video documentary for XII grade High School in subconcepts plant growth and development. The average value of this media were 95%, which very feasible to be used as a learning media.
