This research aimed to figure out of the students’ errors, cause of errors and the percentage of error occurance in writing descriptive text especially in wordformation. The research design used was qualitative approach specifically case study design. The source of this research was tenth grade students and an English teacher of SMAN 3 Kabupaten Tangerang. To gain the data of research, the researcher used documentation and interview. The documentation was carried out three times in order to make the contentful. The errors were analyzed Corder’s theory. After doing the research, the result showed that selection, omission, addition and ordering were the kinds of errors that made by students. Those errors mostly occured because of lack of knowledge and the interference of mother tongue. The percentage of students’ errors displayed that selection was the most error based on the average of percentage result from three texts. This research has fulfiled its purpose.
