- Multi Attribute Failure Mode Analysis (MAFMA) is a method to cover FMEA. In identifying the most significant cause of failure to be controlled, FMEA condisiders three criterias, there are severity, occurrence, and detectability. Whereas MAFMA not only considers about these criterias, but also considers about expected cost criteria. PT XYZ often suffers stopline in its production process in producing tin plate type coil in Electrolytic Tinning Line (ETL) machine which is used nonstop. The purpose of this research is identifying cause of stopline and determining the most potential cause of stopline. Severity, occurrence, detectability, and expected cost are as criteria level in hierarchy structure, whereas the failure causes are as alternative level. Weighting pairwise comparison of criteria and alternative based on expected cost criteria uses fuzzy AHP approach. Case study at PT XYZ shows the causes of stopline in producing tin plate type coil are damaged bearing, broken shaft, not fitted construction, damaged rubber lining in sidewall, there are tin particles in roll, torn roll, groove roll, and bubble roll. As for the most potential cause of stopline in producing tin plate type coil based on severity, occurrence, detectability, and expected cost criteria is damaged bearing in total weight 0,172.
