- The purpose of this research was to know the effect of carbohydrates types and concentration of IBA (Indole Butyric Acid) on growth of black orchid (Coelogyne pandurata Lindl.) as in vitro. This research was conducted from May until July 2015 in the Biotechnology Laboratory of Agriculture Faculty, Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University, Banten. The research used complete randomized design that consisted of two factors. The first factor was types of carbohydrate consisted of 3 levels: K1 (sucrose 30 g/l); K2 (glucose 30 g/l); K3 (fructose 30 g/l). The second factor was concentration of IBA, consisted of 4 levels: I0 (0 g/l); I1 (2,5 mg/l); I2 (5,0 mg/l); I3 (IBA 7,5 mg/l). The research showed that using of sukrosa 30 g/l had significant effect in the parameter of planlet height with the highest rates 8,08 mm in 6 weeks after planted, 9,33 mm in 7 weeks after planted, 10,83 mm in 8 weeks after planted, the number of leaves with the highest rates 0,75 mm in 2 weeks after planted, 3,08 mm in 6 weeks after planted, 3,92 mm in 7 weeks after planted, 5,25 mm in 8 weeks after planted, and shoots with the highest rates 0,33 mm in 3 weeks after planted, 1,34 mm in 4 weeks after planted, 2,67 mm in 5 weeks after planted , 3,67 mm in 6 weeks after planted, 4,58 mm in 7 weeks after planted and 5,33 mm in 8 weeks after planted. IBA with 5 mg/l were not influence to all parameters above. There only was interaction between the types of carbohydrates and IBA on parameters leaves in 2 weeks after planted with the highest rates 0,78 mm with the best treatment of sucrose 30 g/l + IBA 0 mg/l.
