  • This research is motivated by the lack of comprehension of mathematical concepts and dispositions students primarily related to early mathematical concepts students at one junior high school in Tangerang Regency. Therefore, applying discovery learning in studies. Because this method can improve the ability of understanding mathematical concepts and dispositions of students. This study aims to determine whether the final achievement and increase the ability of understanding mathematical concepts and dispositions of students who received learning with discovery learning is better than the students who obtain the cooperative learning. The method used in this study was a quasi-experimental method with cluster sampling, obtained an experimental class and a control class. The instrument used is the ability to test students 'understanding of concepts and instruments in the form of non-scale test students' mathematical dispositions. The results of research and descriptive and inferential statistical test to the conclusion that the ultimate achievement and increase the ability of understanding mathematical concepts and dispositions experimental class students better than the control class.
