- The purpose of this research was improved students learning outcomes and activities. The research was conducted in the fifth grade at elementary school of Terondol which has 26 students. This research was classroom action research and implemented by using index card match method. This research was implemented by applying two cycles. Every cycles includes planning, acting, observation and reflection. Data collection techniques using observasion, interviews, and tests. The result showed that in cycle I the students activities reached presentage 63,46% and cycle II reached presentage 90,4%. So, for students learning outcomes got the data that in cycle I with an average score of students learning outcomes was 73,42 with completeness presentage 80,77%. In cycle II got the data that an average score of students learning outcomes was 81,5 with completeness presentage 100%. So, it can be concluded that applying index card match method can improved students learning outcomes and activities in the fifth grade at elementary school of Terondol in social sstudies.
