- This research was aimed to determine the result of study using POE (Predict, Observe, Explain) model on the concept of the human respiratory system. The method used in this research was descriptive method. The population used in this study were students of class VIII SMP 7 on academic year of 2015-2016. Sample in this research is a class VIII E which contains 42 students. Determination of sample classes are conducted by purposive sampling. Student’s cognitive capability was measured by multiple-choice test, student’s affective capability was measured by using questionnaires and student’s psychomotorabilities was measured by observation sheet. The result showed that score of student’s cognitive skill was 76,19 with good category, the score of student’s affective skill was 87,73 with very good category and the score of student’s psychomotor skill was 93,17 with very good category. Based on the research results it can be concluded that POE (Predict, Observe, Explain) learning model could be increase the student’s learning outcomes.
