- Advertisement tax in the City of Serang is organized in Local Regulation Number 17 of 2010 about Local Tax, the purpose is to increase the Local Own Revenue. But there are still problems in the Supervision of Advertisement tax in the city of Serang, in fact. The problems are the limitation of Human Resources, the supervision schedule which is not accordance with SOP, the facilities and infrastructure which is not capable of yet. The purpose of this research is to find out the potency of the advertisement in the city of Serang. This research uses a theory from T. Hani Handoko (2003: 373) with accurate indicator, on time, objective and comprehensive, centralizes on the point of strategic supervision, realistic economically, realistic organizationally, flexible, indicative and operational, acceptable by the member of the organization. The method which is used is descriptive with qualitative approach. The techniques used to collect data are by doing interview, observation, and documentation. The result of the research shows that The supervision of the implementation of the advertisement tax in the City of Serang is not yet work optimally because of the limitation of Human Resources, the incompatibility between the implementation of schedule of work and the advertisement tax SOP, the facilities and infrastructure which is not capable of yet, the lack of coordination and socialization about the advertisement tax. The recommendations that can be given are the recruitment of staff in DPKD, improving the coordination among the related organizations and the assessable which appropriates with the purpose and the plan which has been made
