- Issues of the environmental agency oversight of life in the Cilegon City : Supervision by the conducted of the environmental agency oversight of life in the Cilegon city to companies that are in the industrial area is not regularly & routien and reports generated are not objective, no follow up on pollution, lack of field workers owned by BLH Cilegon city. the absence of strict sanctions conducted by BLH Cilegon city, the lack of a budget which is owned by BLH Cilegon city. The purpose of this study was to find out surveillance BLH Cilegon city in addressing area environmental pollution in the industrial area in the Ciwandan subdistrict in the Cilegon city. The method used in this study is a qualitative method. The method uses the characteristics of effective oversight by Handoko (2003). Data analysis techniques using qualitative analysis techniques Lexi J.Moleong. the result of this study indicate BLH Cilegon city in addressing environmental pollution in the industrial area in the Ciwandan subdistrict in Cilegon city not optimal.BLH oversight mechanisms dont involve the community, village, subdistrict and all companies are still not all supervised. BLH Cilegon city less assertive in the granting of action in sanctioning. Recomendations is can be given to BLH: BLH parties involve the community, village,subdistrict. BLH Cilegon city should lodge the budget. In the granting of sanctions should be more assertive and clear, and add more routine monitoring time and not wait for the report of the company.
