Daftar Isi:
- XLPE (Cross-Linked Polyethilene) insulated cable is one of the kinds of medium voltage cables. In use, the cable insulation can decrease or degradation of insulation quality and therefore can not serve as a good insulator. One of the main causes of decline in the quality of the insulation is due to voids in the insulation causing partial discharge. XLPE insulation sample size of 20 mm x 20 mm x 3 mm and 20 mm x 20 mm x 4 mm which has a variation in the diameter and thickness of the void. Electrode system Cigre II and Omicron MPD 600 is used to see the results of measurements of partial discharge that occurs in each void dimensions and different voltages. From the measurement results, it can be seen the value of the partial charge-discharge tends to increase with increasing the size of the void dimensions in isolation and voltage applied. The influence of the void diameter to the value of partial discharge has a coefficient of determination of 85,7% to 96,6% in the XLPE sample 20 mm x20 mm x 3 mm and 58,6% to 93,6% in the XLPE sample 20 mm x 20 mm x 4 mm, the influence of the voltage applied to the value of partial discharge has a coefficient of determination of 53% to 72,2% in the XLPE sample 20 mm x 20m x 4 mm.
