- This research is motivated by the low communication ability and motivation to learn mathematical junior high school students, so it is necessary to find an alternative learning that can improve communication skills and motivation of students' mathematical learning. Alternative learning used is learning by learning model Aptitude Treatment Interaction (ATI). This study aims to determine: Achieving end mathematical communication skills of students who get teaching model Aptitude Treatment Interaction (ATI); improvement of communication skills students acquire mathematical learning model Aptitude Treatment Interaction (ATI); and how the mathematical learning motivation of students who get teaching Aptitude Treatment Interaction. The research was conducted in SMP Negeri 15 Kota Serang on odd semester academic year 2015/2016. The method used is the quasi-experimental method. Samples taken as many as two classes of eight classes, using cluster sampling technique. Instruments used in the form of test instruments and non-test. Test instruments and instruments in the form of a description about the non-test questionnaire student motivation. The results obtained in this study indicate that: the final achievement and improvement of communication skills students acquire mathematical learning model Aptitude Treatment Interaction (ATI) is better than getting conventional learning and the motivation to learn mathematical almost all students want a success, students have ideals ideals in the future, the award, interesting activities so as not to get bored and conducive environment as well as most of the students requires a boost in learning.
