- This research was conducted because of the low student learning outcomes in science subjects. The use of Project Based Learning method is expected to improve students learning outcomes in science subjects. The method used in this research was Classroom Action Research (Classroom Action Research), there are: action research conducted in the classroom being done to improve the performance of teachers and quality of teaching so the students can increase ther skill. This research focus on improving students learning outcomes in subjects of Natural Science in the fifth grade elementary school students of SDN Kampung Baru in period 2013-2014 school year. Sub district Petir district Serang with totaling 40 students. The data obtained using research instruments that have been prepared, namely, achievement test, observation sheets, field notes, and photo documentation. Implementation of measures in this study consisted of a pre-cycle is performed to determine the initial conditions of students and two cycles that include planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Based on the research that has been conducted using Project Based Learning method can improve student learning outcomes. Students are motivated and more active in the Teaching and Learning Activities. Based on the data obtained from the first results of this study is satisfactory. Student achievement in learning outcomes at each cycle when compared with the first result conditions. Viewed from the acquisition value of the overall average, the first condition reaches an average value of 62, 4%, in the cycle I 64, 1%, and the cycle II 70, 02. Based on these results, it is suggested to elementary school teachers to use the method Project Based Learning in the Natural Sciences learning as a solution to improve student learning outcomes in the subjects of Natural Science (IPA).
