- This research background by the findings in the science learning process in the fourth grade Elementary School Juhut 4 which have an impact on the activity and student learning outcomes is low. This is evidenced by the value obtained by the students as a whole only 33.3 % of the 21 students who meet the minimum completeness criteria ( KKM ). The purpose of this research is to improve student learning outcomes in learning science by using cooperative learning model of the type of make a match . The research was conducted on the material change in the appearance of the earth and the sky object. The study was conducted in March- April 2015 by the research subjects are students of class IV which consists of 21 students . The method used in this research is classroom action research ( PTK ). This study was conducted by two cycles and each cycle consists of four phases: planning , action , observation and reflection . The results showed an increase in activity and student learning outcomes in each cycle . Improving student learning outcomes that have met the standard of KKM, in cycle 1 increased to 38 % and in the second cycle increased to 86 %. In cycle 1, the activity of the students reached 65.99 % . In cycle 2, the activities of students increased to 86.63 %. Based on the study results in each cycle show that the use of cooperative learning model of the type of make a match can improve learning outcomes natural science at Elementary School fourth grade students juhut 4 .
