- The purpose of this research was to know the In Vitro effect of antibiotics and antioxidants on marasi (Curculigo latifolia) sterilization. The research was conducted started from September until November 2015 at Biotechnology Laboratory of Agriculture Faculty, Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University. Research was arranged in Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with two factors. The first factor was types of antibiotics with 4 levels (control, streptomycine, cefotaxime and gentamycin) and the second factor was types of antioxidants with 3 levels (control, ascorbic acid and PVP). Therefore, there were 12 combinations of treatments, each treatment was repeated 3 times so there were 36 experimental units. The results showed that antibiotic treatment was not provide a real impact on all observed variabels. While the treatment with antioxidant was provide the best influence on the variables of growth (height explant) with a height of 5.35 cm explants at 4 MST and time appear browning. There is no interaction between antibiotic and antioxidant treatment on all the observed variables. Keyword: marasi, antibiotics, antioxidants, sterilization, in vitro.
