  • One of the obstacles in the intensive culture is high feeding costs.Alternative to decrease feeding costs in aquaculture can be reached by usingcheap and easily available feed ingredients, iefish offal waste. The purpose of thisstudy is to evaluate theeffect on addition of formic acid in the manufacture of fishoffal silage to the catfish digestibility.The research usedcompletely randomizeddesign with different dose of formic acid (0%, 2%, 3%, and 4%) and therereplicalions.Based on the experiment the control (without addition of formicacid), has no different result with the other treatment. Protein digestibility fromtreatment A 90.32±1.53%, fat digestibilityfrom treatment A 86.19±0.43%, energydigestibility from treatment A 85.08±0.79%, feed conversion ratio from treatmentD 0.88±0.07%, and survival rate from treatment A,B,C and D 100%.
