- This research is aimed to know the different of student’s cognitive by Strategy Learning Improving Thinking Abilityinlearning conventional. The methodology of this research is quasi experimental with Noneequivalent Control Grup Design. Cluster Random in non probabliy sampling technique is used as research method. The writer takes VA as experimental class and VB as control class. The result of the research is seen by the average score. The result of the beginning score of experimental class and control class are 57,6 and 53,14. In another hand the result of the last score of experimental class and control class are 53,9 and 50,2. Based on the test result, there is the not are different to the result of student’s cognitive which is use learning strategy to improve their thinking ability in using learning conventional. It has been proved 64≤ 137,5≤64. So, it explains that Ho is acceptedand Ha is refused. that shows Ho is acceptedand Ha isrefused. In conclusion, the result shows there is not are different to student’s cognitive by using strategy learning improving thinking ability and using conventional model learning.
