- The growth in concrete technology is develop, various researh have been carried out by both the practitioners and practitioners. Various types of concrete technology has been introduced and used, are now in general such as the use of steel fibers and Poly Ethylene Terephthalate (PET) as a substitution for coarse aggregate. Utilizing waste by processing waste or recycling waste to be used as an aggregate substitute material from a plastic bottle packaging Poly Ethylene Terephthalate (PET). This research to determine the compressive strength of concrete with coarse aggregate material made from waste plastic drinks bottles repack or polyethylene Terephthalate (PET), and study the effect and effectiveness of the use artificial coarse aggregate replacement material (PET) as establishment a concrete . This research used a composition of Coarse Aggregate replacement with polyethylene Teherphtalate Plastic (PET) of 50% and 100%, with the quality of the planned 20 MPa concrete. The total sample of 45 samples consisting of 3 variations. Samples were tested at the age of 3, 7, 14, 21 and 28 days. The results of compressive strength testing with a design life of 28 days in the may decrease the compressive strength of concrete using artificial coarse aggregate substitution Poly Ethylene Terephthalate (PET) to normal concrete, the results of this study are as follows normal concrete Type N (0% PET) at 24.56 MPa, Type A (50% PET) amount of the 18.90 MPa, type B (100% PET) amount of the 18.26 Mpa. Achievement of artificial coarse aggregate Poly Ethylene Terephthalate to can the implementation of the manufacture of concrete. Implementation is a process of weighing the ingredients, how to manufacture, mixing, molding, compaction, vibration concrete and concrete completion.
