  • One of many alternative way for degradation phenol compound is using the technique of a photocatalyst. This technique requires one TiO semiconductor. For improving the performance there are various kinds of engineering, one modification of TiO 2 2 -Zeolite. The purpose of this research that utilizes natural zeolite bayah as TiO support to the degradation of phenol wastewater, knowing the best zeolite activation using three methods: acids, bases, and acid-base and determine the effect of catalyst loading. Natural zeolite used comes from bayah because its existence is abundant and untapped and increase value to the natural zeolite bayah. Zeolites before use in the activation of the first, the best activation composited with the TTIP precursor impregnation method. In this study tested the activation of zeolites, TiO2-zeolite composite, the test characteristics of surface area using BET method, to determine the crystal structure using XRD, SEM EDX to determine the crystal morphology, and knowing% of phenol using a spectrophotometer. The results of this study come from three activation, it is best to have a value of acid activation zeolite surface area (BET) of 123.888 m2 / g. Zeolites acid activation in impregnation with TiO2 TTIP with a surface area (BET) of 225 m2 / g. With the adsorption process can absorb the phenol at 7.67%, the process Fenton photo by 11.46%, in the photocatalyst without the support of 68.58% of zeolite, and process support with zeolite photocatalyst in a ratio of 3: 3 catalyst loading of 1.5 g / l of 99.8%.
