- Employment are one measure of the success of economic development . Where the government is able to create a lot of jobs , means indicates employment opportunities for people to work . If people have a job , then they will have income which in turn will be able to maintain their purchasing power . Thus, the public can meet the basic needs and welfare will increase . Employment opportunities are influenced by government spending , investment , and wages . The purpose of this study was to determine how the effect was largely variable in government spending , investment and real wages on employment in the province of Banten . Data analysis method used is the data panel regression model , for series data from the years 2007-2012. Based on test results data panel regression model to the data was obtained the following results : first , the government expenditure is partially positive and significant effect on employment in the province of Banten . Second, investment is partially positive and significant effect on employment in the province of Banten . Third , the real wage is partially negative and significant effect on employment in the province of Banten . Fourth , government expenditure , private investment and real wages is simultaneous effect on employment in the province of Banten .
