- The aim of the research was finding out the influence of learning starts with a question strategy utilization for students concept mastery on organism’s growth and development concept in 8th class SMPN 12 Kota Serang. The method of research was using quasi experimental with pretest-posttest control group design. Learning starts with a question strategy as independent variable and students concept mastery as dependent variable. The population of research was all students in 8th class SMPN 12 Kota Serang of academic year 2012/2013. The sample of research was class VIII-B as a control class and VIII-C as a experiment class. The sampling technique of research was using by simple random sampling. Data was collected by multiple choice tests and obsevation sheet. Data was analysed by t-test for hypothesis testing at significant level 95% (α=0,05). The result of t-test the influence of learning starts with a question strategy utilization for students concept mastery was getting significant value 0,147. Based on the result of research obtained that the learning starts with a question strategy has not influence for students concept mastery on organism’s growth and development concept in 8th class SMPN 12 Kota Serang
