  • The aim of this research is to determine the effect of using case study learning approach toward student’s cognitive ability and question ability class XI SMA N 1 Pontang in sub concept of human reproductive system disorders. This research used quasi experimental. Population of this research was all students of XI IPA class at SMAN 1 Pontang in school year 2013/ 2014. The sample of this research was XI IPA 2 (control) and XI IPA 3 (experimental). The result of experimental is student’s cognitive ability measured through description test in experimental class is 78,17 include good category. Question ability measured through student’s question sheets in experimental class the highest percentage of is cognitive level C2 as big as 26,47% and percentage kind of open-ended question as big as 57,06%. Therefore, it can be concluded that using case study learning approach can effect toward the ability of cognitive ability and student’s question ability in sub concept of human reproductive system disorders.
