- Soil landslide at the slope is one of the most common in the field because due to increase shear stress of a soil mass or a decrease in shear strength of the soil mass. Landslide in Picung Munjul road section caused by excessive burden on the road. This research intend to know how to overcome slope landslide by using a retaining wall. The study is conducted using soil data in Picung Munjul road section. Stability analysis used Fellenius and Bishop methods to find the value of a safety factor of slope stability. Calculation lateral soil pressure use Rankine and Coulomb theories. The stability of retaining wall designed is checked to overtuning moment, sliding force and bearing capacity. The results calculation manual analysis will be compared with on the Geo5 software. The value safety factors of slope stability without retaining walls using Fellinius and Bishop methods resulted 1,195 and 1,238. Calculation manual analysis stability of retaining wall the safety factor overtuning stability, sliding stability and bearing capacity stability are 3,25, 3,74 and 8,52 respectively. While the results analysis stability of retaining wall from Geo5 software the resulted safety factor 3,32, 3,45 and 13,72 respectively. The results show that cantilever retaining wall capable of resist forces that occured.
