  • Research background of the low value of class IX students who completed the number as many as 12 students 40%, and which has not been completed as much as 18 or 60%. Overall student numbers have not reached the 30 indicators specified by the school that the KKM or an average value of 75%. (1) This study aims to determine the effect of learning to speak by using audio-visual media to speech capability IX grade students of MTs Al-Khairiyah. (2) Problem Formulation How to Influence Learning to speak by using the Audio Visual Media Against Students Speaking Ability. (3) How is the response of students to learning to speak by using audio-visual media. The method used in this study is Quasi-Experiment with design posstest only control group. The population in this study four classes totaling 133, this sample two classes, Class IX A selected as experimental class, while the class IX C as a randomly selected control classes totaling 30 students, the sampling technique by means of cluster random sampling technique. Instrument used through tests and nontes. The trial results show the value of the sample instrument beyond the average results of speeches 80. While student test questionnaire scale percentage of 81.63 percentage values are very strong. The average score of the experimental class score of 30.17 while the average grade control 27.8, the minimum score (xmin) experimental class at 18 while the minimum score (xmin) control class is 20. The standard deviation of 5.57 experimental class, control class standard deviation of 4 , 31. With an ideal score of 40. The analysis used normality test analysis, Homogeneity Test, Hypothesis Testing. Data were analyzed by the help of IBM SPSS Version 22 to determine the validity of the data while the data analysis tests of normality, and homogeneity, as well as Hopotesis test statistics with the help of Excel Windows 7. Based on the results of research that t-test experimental class by 4, and grade control by 4 , 52 normal decision. while t-test Experimental class table 11:10 while T-Table Control class at 11.10, Normal decision. Homogentas test showed a significant level of 5% ( = 0.05) F_hitung≥F_tabel namely 1.58 <1.86 homogenous decision. Hypothesis testing shows the calculation criteria t_hitung> t_tabel or 7.14> 1.67, then H_o H_1 rejected and accepted. Thus no effect means learning to talk by using audio-visual media to speech capability Ix grade students of MTs Al-Khairiyah Kepandean Ciruas 2014-2015 school year.
