- The purpose of this research is to know the effect of learning by problem based do student capability of thinking about sub concept of the human circulatory system. This research using quasi experiment method or pseudo experiment method with randomized control – grouf pretest – posstest design. The population of this research were student of 5th public high school Serang city grade XI, year 2012/13 the sample of this research consist of two classes, class XI IPA 3 as control class and XI IPA 4 as experiment class, using purposive sampling. Theres 5 indicators observe in sudent capability of thinking that is collect information, processing information, problem solving, formulation problems and summarize problem collecting data using observation sheet and test. The average of analysis students capability of thinking is 80,2% with good category. The conclusion of this research is: there was influance to learning by problem based to students capability of thinking about sub concept of disorder/disease of the human circulatiory system in 5th public high school Serang City
