- This study aims to investigate the effect of budget participation on managerial performance at the State High School (SMAN). The study also examined whether organizational commitment mediates the effect of budgetary participation on managerial performance. The sample in this study was 77 respondents with a purposive sampling technique is random sampling to the Principal, Deputy Head of Student Affairs, Deputy Head of Curriculum, Deputy Head of Infrastructure Sara, Treasurer and Head of School Administrative Affairs at the State High School in Banten Province. Data was collected by distributing questionnaires directly to the respondent. Analysis using multiple regression with SPSS and processed using path analysis to examine the effect of direct and indirect budgetary participation on performance manaerial. The results of this study indicate that the presence of a direct effect of budget participation on managerial performance. Budget participation also significantly influence organizational commitment and indirectly affect managerial performance through the intervening variable of organizational commitment.
