- Ciruas intersection is an intersection with four directions which is completed by traffic lights signals. This intersection is one intersection which is pretty full because it is located close to the market, moreover disobedience of road users became one of the causes of congestion at the intersection which is located in Serang, Banten. Therefore necessary to research at the intersection to analyze the performance of the intersection. Ciruas intersection connects some highways such as Serang – Jakarta highway, Ciptayasa Ciruas highway and Ciruas Walantaka highway. The purpose of this study is to analyze the performance of the intersection of the existing condition, determine the factors that influence the performance of intersections and provide alternative solutions to problems that arise in Ciruas intersection. Intersection performance analysis methods is Indonesian Highway Capacity Manual 1997. Based on the result of research on the intersection can be seen that the intersection is not to saturation.. It is proven by only one approach which is result the degree of saturation (ds > 0,75 ; saturation) that is West approach produce 0.8, while on North, South and East approach produces the degree of saturation (ds < 0,75 ; not saturation) respectively of 0.4, 0.66, 0.41. The result capacity of Ciruas intersection produce 379, 403, 1062, 1371 smp/jam respectively for North, South, West, East approach. The highest queues length in intersection produced by West approach is 126,5 m. Great value the whole intersection stopping rate is 0,89 stop/smp. The average intersection delay produced was 46,9 det/smp and entered the intersection level of service (LOS) with the level E (> 40 – 60 det/smp). To improve the performance of Ciruas intersection, alternative repairs done by resetting signal, phase changes and geometric dilation in which the result of degree of saturation on the North approach = 0.3, South approach = 0.46, West approach = 0.55 and East approach = 0.42. Intersection Level of Service is at level C.
