  • The grows of people causing it spreads into a large cover of area. This is impacting to electrical energy demands which rise on any sector. Electrical energy is very vital for humanity these days. This energy can be applied to household appliances, commercial, government institute, and industrial needs. Electricity is very important for increasing economic development in a certain country[1]. Economic Load Dispatch is an effort for reducing fuel cost an economic load, which in other words is for allocating some optimum power plant from its different unit on cheapest operating cost[19]. On this research, the minimum operation is executed on unit 1-7 PLTU Suralaya using Constriction Factor Particle Swarm Optimization (CFPSO) for detecting load on every power plant unit so that the efficiency of fuel costs thrift, detecting fuel cost which effected by power demands planted by power plant. The result of trial using characteristic of power plant during one month, indicating that CFPSO total fuel and fuel cost consumption is lesser than PSO methods. Because of CFPSO is able to control particle velocity which aims for algorithm search-boosting at convergence. The test result gained with using CFPSO methods, the thrifty fuel cost is 6,966.94 $/h, if converted to IDR is 12,251.00/$ is Rp. 85,352,026.09/hour. The difference is can be sighted on CFPSO and PSO is fuel cost thrifty value 183.407 MMbtu/h, Difference of fuel cost thrifty which gained is 443.26 $/h if converted to IDR is 12,251.00/$ is Rp. 5,430,360.14/hour.
