- ERC Austrindo Corporation utilized well the potential of biogas from Bagendung Cilegon Landfill a few years ago, but some damages of the installation stopped the biogas production. This study aimed to find the alternative method of biogas production, and the method we used was the anaerobic digester method. The organic waste, water plus the starters were put into different digester for the fermentation to produce biogas. The starter we used is the leatchate from Bagendung Landfill Cilegon, cow dung, and goat dung,. When the biogas production was being held, the data of themperature, pressure and mass of the biogas was collected for analysis requirement. Then we brought the sample of biogas to Bantargebang Landfill Bekasi to analize the composition of biogas with Geotech Biogas Analyzer. And the result of this study was the digester with cow dung starter produced the most of flammable biogas as much as 16,34 gram with 46,03% - 49,00% of CH4 . But we recommended to use the digester with leachate starter to produce the biogas from organic waste in Bagendung Landfill Cilegon. Because the digester with leachate starter produced 10,67 gram flammable biogas with 42,27% - 42,33% of CH4 which is the different of biogas production was not significant with the cow dung digester. And the digester with leachate starter maximized the potential of biogas from Bagendung Landfill Cilegon.
