This intersection has the potential to cause traffic&#xD; congestion due to dense enough , especiall at rush hour with various types of&#xD; vehicles didalamnya.Simpang five Ciracas Serang also serves as an alternative&#xD; way to get to the center - the center of town activities , and as a pathway large&#xD; vehicles heading towards Pandeglang. &#xD; The purpose of this study was to analyze the performance of the intersection&#xD; of the existing condition to analyze the performance of the intersection of five&#xD; Ciracas provide alternative solutions to improve the performance of Simpang&#xD; Lima Ciracas Serang. Data retrieval is based on primary data and secondary&#xD; data. Intersection performance analysis method used is Indonesian Highway&#xD; Capacity Manual 1997. &#xD; Based on the results of research on the intersection of Five Ciracas can be&#xD; seen that the intersection of Five Ciracas close to saturation. In West and East&#xD; closers produce a degree of saturation (DS) 0.69 and 0.72 (ds &lt;0.75;&#xD; unsaturated). In North and South closers produce a degree of saturation (DS) of&#xD; 1.05 and 1.15 (ds&gt; 0.75; saturated). The highest queue length at the intersection&#xD; of 400 m. Large numbers stop intersection is 2,31 stop / smp. Average delay&#xD; intersection is 184.27 smp / sec. Service level with the level F (&gt; 60 sec / smp). To&#xD; improve intersection Five Ciracas performance, carried out repairs with widening&#xD; alternative geometry, signal timing, application turn and left immediately,.&#xD; Closers produce a degree of saturation in the West, East, North, and South&#xD; America are 0.24, 0.36, 0.34, and 0.34. Intersection delay the average - average&#xD; is 13,32 det / smp.
