  • This study aims to determine the learning outcomes and student learning activity in Elementary School fifth grade sub Districts anyar regency Serang. Based on these goals researchers conduct Classroom Action Research (CAR) with 2 cycles, this study uses 4 components: (planning, implementation, observation, interviews). The actions carried out by using Mind Mapping (Mind Map). Data collection instruments in the form of tests, observation of student activity sheets, and a teacher interview sheet. Data processing is done by calculating the results of tests and presentation of student learning activity. Improved student learning outcomes numbered 37 people at each cycle is as follows: for the first cycle of students who have experienced learning completeness totaling 24 students (64.87%), while 13 students (35.13%) not have experienced mastery learning. Second Cycle students who have experienced learning completeness reaches 37 students (100%). And then the activities of students learning in the first cycle much as 51.35% or 19 students increased in the second cycle much as 91.89% or 34 persons. From the data collected it can be concluded that the application of Mind Mapping Method (Mind Map) can improve student learning outcomes in social studies.
