  • The objective of the research was to find out the influence of using Cooperative Learning Model Think-Pair-Share (TPS) toward students' Cognitive Ability on the Concept of Human Respiratory System at the Eighth Grade of SMPN 2 Panggarangan. The method was conducted by using true experimental design. The design of the research used randomize control group pretest-posttest. The sample were two classes of the eighth grade of SMPN 2 Panggarangan. There was VIII A as the experimental group VIII C as the control group. This research involved two classes of the eighth grade of SMPN 2 Panggarangan chosen based on purposive sampling. The instrument of the research was used multiple choice. The results of the research it was showed by score of pretest and posttest. The mean score of pre-test in control group was 42,2 category very less, meanwhile the mean score of post-test 61,2 category adequately. The mean score of pre-test in experimental group was 48,8 category very less, meanwhile the mean score of post-test 76,9 category good. Based on t test gotten different ability between experimental group and control group. Based on the result of the research concluded that there was any influence of using Cooperative Learning Model ThinkPair-Share (TPS) toward Students' Cognitive Ability on the Concept of Human Respiratory System.
