- The paper is a sheet which consisted of plant’s fibers, synthetic and mineral fibers or mixtures by adding other substance until them bundled to be unity. In the other cases, the paper was could be make from waste as a basic material, and the either is rice husk and saw dust waste. This research aimed to harness rice husk and saw dust wastes as an alternative material in the papermaking, compared quality paper of both and maked paper making as a student worksheet (LKS) for first grade (X) senior high school on the subconsept of waste and recycling. The method on this research was descriptive qualitative. Physical quality paper of rice husk and saw dust waste were: folding endurances 0 df, bursting resistance 70 kPa.m 2 /g and 72 kPa.m 2 /g, tearing resistance 3.8 Kgf and 10.2 Kgf, gramature are 191.2 g/m 2 and 174.6 g/m 2 . The result of the paper making will be implemented as teaching materials student in first grade (X) senior high school on the subconsept of waste and recycling. The quality of student worksheet (LKS) obtained value as high as 80% by category of good or worthy for used. Key word: Paper, Rice Husk, Saw Dust, LKS
