  • English is a tool of communication either orally or written. Even though vocabularies are the first thing in developing communication. The learning technique lately is applied to the student’s centered but it’s rarely use a media or tool that can be motivated the students and using monotonly technique until the learning process is boring. The focus of this research are 1) How to Instructional Multimedia Model to Increasing the English Reading Competence and Comprehension Text at Eleventh of SMAN 3 Cilegon Students. 2) How the process of Instructional Multimedia Model to Increasing the English Reading Competence and Comprehension Text at Eleventh of SMAN 3 Cilegon Students 3) How the students’ score in the English reading and comprehension text using Instructional Multimedia Model. 4) What the purpose of Instructional Multimedia Model in the English Reading and Comprehension text. The purpose of the research is to solve the students’ difficulties in increasing the English reading competence and comprehension text using Instructional Multimedia Model. This research is held in SMAN 3 Cilegon of the eleventh class which consists of 30 students by using classroom action research (CAR) descriptive method. The results of these researches are increasing from evaluating English reading and comprehension text test. The implementation of comprehension text technique in the siclus I known by last test got 70.56 (23.33%) and reading competence got 69.33 (21.33%), in the siclus II for comprehension text got 74,22 (110%) and reading competence got 77,11 (23,33%), and the last siclus for reading competence got 86,00 (35,33%) reading competence got 82,44 (16,00%).
