- The aim of this study was to determine the extent of the influence of motivation and academic competence to the performance of teachers at vocational senior high school private rayon 2 Tangerang City. If there is a positive and significant influence how strong the influence of motivation and academic competence the performance of teachers at vocational senior high school private rayon 2 Tangerang City. Data on the three variables were obtained through a questionnaire prepared by the researchers is to measure things that are related to there of the above. The method used was a survey, sample selection techniques in this research using random sampling method Taro Yamane or Slovin. The results showed that: (1) There is a positive the influence between motivation to work on the performance of teachers at vocational senior high school Tangerang City private rayon 2 with value F hitung= 316,265> value F table= 315, and the coefficient of correlation R= 0,904; (2) There is positive the influence between academic competence to the performance of of Tangerang City private rayon 2 with value F hitung=.297,673> F table=3,15, and the coefficient of correlation R=0,898;(3) There is positive the influence between motivation and academic competence simultaneously on teacher performance in vocational senior high school Tangerang City private rayon 2 with multiple regression equation Ŷ=5,602 + 0,567X1+ 0,455X2 on α= 0,05. The implications of this research are the teachers performance will be better if the work motivation and academic competence.
