  • This study aims to determine: 1) differences in learning outcomes between students learning science by using problem-based learning model and students who learn without the use of problem based learning model, 2) differences in science learning outcomes between students who have a high critical thinking skills and the ability to think critically low, 3) the interaction between the model of problem-based learning and critical thinking on learning outcomes, 4) differences in science learning outcomes between students who have a high critical thinking skills and learn to use problem-based learning model and students who have a high critical thinking skills and learn without treatment using problem-based learning model that has a high critical thinking skills, 5) differences in science learning outcomes between students who have the ability to think critically low and learning by using problem based learning model and the students who have the ability to think critically low and learn without treatment using learning model based problem, 6) the difference between the science learning outcomes of students who have high critical thinking skills and learn with treatment using problem-based learning model with students who have the ability to think critically low and learn with treatment using problem-based learning model, 7) differences in learning outcomes Sciences among students who have a high critical thinking skills and learn without treatment using problem based learning model with students who have the ability to think critically low and learn without treatment using problem based learning model. The population of this study were all students of class V Elementary School GROGOL II Cilegon totaled 50. Sampling conducted with a random sample (random sampling). The sample in this study amounted to 25 students in grade 25, grade control and experimental. Instrument used to measure students critical thinking skills are questionnaires Likert scale models. Science learning outcome data were collected with the test results to learn science. The method used is the treatment by the level of 2 x 2 and hypothesis testing using ANOVA two lanes. The results showed that the results of science learning with critical thinking skills experimental class has increased from 15.71 to 16.28. Significance test of cognitive learning outcomes obtained experimental class tcount for a significance level of 0.05 with 26 degrees of freedom, namely = 3.54 and 1.71 for the price table = tcount > ttable it can be concluded the results of the test to learn critical thinking skills has increased significantly. Critical thinking skills of students in problem-based learning has increased from pretest to posttest. The results showed that the problem-based science learning can improve learning outcomes and students critical thinking skills.
