  • Fine motor skills is the ability of a person that involve only small muscles like the fingers and wrist that require hand-eye coordination. One method that can improve fine motor skills of children using mosaic techniques. Mosaic technique chosen because it is more interesting and fun than other methods. This study aims to improve fine motor skills of children aged 5-6 years. The method used is classroom action research. the study subjects consisted of 16 children in early childhood Pembina State Integrated Pandeglang located on Jl. Cikupa Office No. 2, District Pandeglang, Banten. Data collected by observation, interviews, field notes, and documentation. The research was carried with 2 cycles of the first cycle consists of 8 times the action and in the second cycle consists of 2 times the action. These results indicate the fine motor skills of children develop optimally, due to the learning process begins with making RPPH, action and observation in each cycle, and to implement the reflection in order to improve the activities that were deemed to be unfavorable. This is evidenced by the results of the percentage of the fine motor skills of children, namely: 1) In the pre-study by 19%, 2) After the child is given an action on the first cycle of fine motor skills of children increased by 42%, 3) In the second cycle obtained yield was 82%. Kids were able to stick to the right, pinching small objects, applying glue by hand, and hold a pencil correctly when writing his own name. Thus, the fine motor skills of children can be said to be on the rise and growing very well. It can be concluded that by using a mosaic technique can improve fine motor skills of children aged 5-6 years in early childhood Pembina State Integrated Pandeglang.
