- The purpose of this study was to determine: the effect of school leadership on teacher performance; effect work motivation of teachers on teacher performance; and the effect of school leadership and motivation of teachers on teacher performance. This type of research is research explanation (explanatory research). Total sample set of 100 respondents from teachers and 38 principals. The technique of collecting data using questionnaires. The results showed: There is a positive and significant effect school leadership toward teacher performance with correlation coefficient 0.708, coefficient of determination of 50.2% and the regression equation Y = 49.529 + 0,179X1. Thus, the better the leadership of the principal, it will better the performance of teachers. There is a positive and significant effect motivation of teachers toward teacher performance with correlation coefficient 0.686, coefficient of determination of 47.1 % and the regression equation Y = 47.651 + 0,232X1. Thus, the higher the motivation of teachers, the higher the performance of teachers. There is a positive and significant effect school leadership and motivation of teachers toward teacher performance with correlation coefficient 0.739, coefficient of determination of 54.6 % and the regression equation Y = 46.931 + 0,112X1 + 0,115X2. Thus, the better the school leadership and motivation of teachers, then it will better the performance of teachers
