- This research studies and addressing the rights of widows in inheritance under customary law and how its implementation. This type of research in this thesis is descriptive so that the method used is by way of studying the books and writings relating to the right of widows in inheritance under customary law, while also conducting research in the field are face to face with the object of research that includes observation , reviewing the cases that have been settled by the Serang District Court as well as conduct interviews with officials Serang District Court. Having conducted research on the basis of theoretical study and some case in the District Court of Serang, then get the following results: in the customary law a widow who has been living together with her husband and has gained descendants, the widow entitled to a share of assets that husband abandoned. The great part is acceptable if the widow has children who are minors, the husband's legacy can be fully controlled by a widow as long as it is used for everyday purposes to feed herself and her children. But after the child is an adult or have a family, the husband's inheritance should be divided equally between the widows and their children, that is to say between the child and the widow gets equal parts. While the implementation of the inheritance of the widow in the District Court of Serang is if the parties to the dispute decided to end the dispute by making peace then the Court of Serang no right to interfere in determining the amount of inheritance, this means that the parties to the dispute prefer using rules or customs applicable in masyarakat.Disini Serang District Court only play a role in passing the deed of peace that has been made and approved by the parties to the dispute. While in the case that ended with the decision of the Serang District Court judge in deciding the dispute remain guided by the legislation in force relevant to the dispute
