- This research aimed to determine the correlation between communication skill and students’ scientific literacy on the environmental pollution sub concept through guided inquiry learning. The method used in this research was correlational method. The population of this research were all students of grade X SMA Prisma Serang City. The sample in this research were students of grade X-4 which determined by simple random sampling technique. The communication skill of the students measured by observation sheets and the scientific literacy ability was measured by essay questions. The result showed that communication skill of student was included in high category with mean value 82,27 scientific literacy of student categorized in medium category with mean value 82,71. Based on Pearson Product Moment correlation analysis showed that there was a very strong correlation between of both, with the value of correlation coefficient was of 0,890. Results of linear regression showed that communication skills contributed 79.2% of the students’ scientific literacy.
